KJ & the Roos

Armor, Life or Death

Kangaroo Jones answered the urgent call.  He told his team that they must move fast.  KC worked at mission control and made the call to KJ.  He told them the threat:  the Alligats were rounding up all the koalas and imprisoning them.

The team would have to move fast.  The team put on their armor and raced with the jeeps to the coordinates given by KC.

They pulled over a hill and stopped. “The next hill we’ll be able to see the train.” KJ told his team.  They moved slowly up the next hill. Sure enough the Koalas were there as KJ looked through his binoculars.

KJ told his team that this was a life or death situation and that we’ll need to go through all the armor to make sure it was all on.  KJ knew how dangerous the Alligats were.  KJ told them to remember what happened in the last mission when Kangaree decided not to put on all the armor.

Let’s go through it right now.

Does everyone have your helmet on?  - They all put there hand on their heads and said yes.

Does everyone have your breastplate on? Yes – they all responded

How about the sword? - , Shield? , Sword? Belt? & your special shoes?   They all responded yes.

OK everyone stay alert.  We are ready to proceed.

They quietly moved over the hill.  KJ listened in his ear piece and told each member of the team where to go.  Kangaree was to proceed towards the back of the train and go 1st.

Just when Kangaree moved into position, one of the guards saw him.  KJ motioned for the rest of the team to halt.  KJ radioed Kangaree to move back to the hill.  But it was too late.  The Alligats surrounded Kangaree in no time.  KJ told his team that they lost the element of surprise and would have to change to a rescue for Kangaree instead. “We’ll concentrate on the Koalas after we get Kangaree free.”

The team moved closer, so close they could hear the alligats speaking to Kangaree.  They were trying to intimidate Kangaree.  But Kangaree answered them in his boldness and didn’t show any fear.  “He does have all his armor on.” KJ said to himself.

Just as KJ was about to move in with his team a shot rang out.  “What was that?” He asked Roo #1.  Kangaree just fell down.

Sure enough Kangaree wasn’t moving and the Alligats were going back to the train to continue putting the Koalas on board.
