KJ & the Roos
Kingdoms in Conflict
KJ was sitting with his team in command headquarters when the phone rang. “Hello”, KJ said as he answered the phone. KJ listened to his caller, General Sayus told him about the next mission.
As KJ put the phone on speaker phone, the entire team listened to the plans. A group of 3 Roos had been kidnapped. The team needed to infiltrate the enemy’s territory and rescue the roos.
Everyone put on their armor. They started with the vest, the special shoes, then the head gear. Kangaree decided to take the vest with him but not put it on.
They all hoped in the jeep and headed to the coordinated that was given them. The GPS system showed them all the turns they needed to make.
They discussed the details as KJ was driving. They would 1st send in a spy. He would be named Roo #1. (Each of the Roos had a number, all the way to 7). The head gear contained a microphone and a hearing piece. That way the entire team could stay in contact with each other. Kangaree who was roo # 7, was excited. He was the youngest on the team and was too self confident. He sometimes ran into danger without thinking.
As the team entered the Kingdom of the Jackals, the entire team became alert. They checked out their communication gear and found it all working. Everyone was suppose to go through all their gear and ensure all was ok. Everyone did except Kangaree.
Roo # 1 quietly went into the 1st cave. Their intelligence told them that was probably the cave that the roos were being held.
The rest of the team waited until #1 gave the signal. They hid the jeeps. It was tense as they kept their eyes peeled on the front of the cave.
Then all of a sudden # 1 spoke through his speaker and said he had visual with the pack.
The rest of the team followed # 7 in. Just as they were near the point that #1 said he had made contact, a sound rang out in the cave. It was behind them. KJ told # 5 to investigate. He came back and said that the entrance was full of Jackals, but they were unaware that the rescue team was there. KJ ordered the team forward. “We’ll deal with them after we get the roos”, KJ said.
They came upon Roo # 1 and he directed their attention to the captured roos. KJ told #7 to advance and just that time KJ saw that #7 didn’t have his vest on. At the same time a sleeping dart hit #7 right in the chest. He fell. KJ ordered Roo # 2 to carry #7. The team was down to only 5 members. KJ had to decide whether to continue or abort the mission. “We’ve come this far, let’s get em out.” KJ said. “It’ll be much more difficult now that we have only 5 members.”
KJ had to come up with a new plan and fast. He began ordering his roos with the new plan. The fight was great but they freed the roos. Now they had to get out. The Jackals were hot on their trail as the team had the small roos. It was much slower because #2 was carrying #7.
As they got closer to the entrance KJ hit the start button on the jeep. It startled the Jackals long enough for the team to hit them from behind. The Jackals ran away as the roos made their way to the jeeps. Everyone jumped in and sped away. Just that time #7 came to. He was confused. KJ would talk to him later.
